UIS tops Brilliant Futures fundraising goal
Thanks to the help of donors, UIS recently surpassed its goal for the Brilliant Futures Campaign with pledges totaling more than $28.4 million. “Brick by brick, step by step, UIS is growing into an excellent institution. The Brilliant Futures Campaign has helped to transform UIS into a university of substance, known here in Illinois and on a national level,” said Chancellor Susan J. Koch.

UIS Democrat and Republican leaders unite again
For the second year in a row, the chairman of the College Republicans and the president of the College Democrats are sharing a townhouse while attending courses at UIS. “Politics is very polarizing,” said Zach Watkins, the Republican chairman. “[By] living together you kind of have to … find the common ground to move forward.”
