Activities Honorary Society
About the Award
Nominations are due Friday, Jan. 13, 2012, for the 2012 Activities Honorary
Society. The University of Illinois Alumni Association is proud to offer this
prestigious award, which recognizes student leaders for their exceptional contributions
at UIC.
The 2012 Activities Honorary Society recognizes undergraduate students whose
participation in a variety of student organizations on campus has contributed
to a better UIC community. Eligible nominees must be associated with at
least three diverse student organizations, with a key role in at least one of the three.
Nominees must also be in good academic standing (2.5-4.0 minimum), with at least
72 credit hours completed by the end of the 2012 spring semester. Recipients
are selected by AHS alumni. This member-selection format has a 62-year history
and the loyal support of alumni who make AHS unique among student awards. Inductees
will be honored at a special induction ceremony sponsored by the UIAA at the
University Club of Chicago on Sunday, April 15, 2012.
We encourage you to nominate
a deserving student. Please direct questions to Alicia Sines at asedbe1@uic.edu or 312/413-0398.
