Award for Exceptional Alumni Service
Recipients are alumni who have distinguished themselves in donating their time
and talent on behalf of the University of Illinois and UIS.
At its annual awards dinner honoring outstanding graduates of UIS, the Alumni
Assoication presented Loyalty awards to several distinguished alumni.

Susan L. Blocker ’01,
MBA ’03 CBM
Susan Blocker, a member of the first MBA cohort at UIS’ Peoria
Center, was instrumental in organizing what would develop into the Peoria Chapter
of the University of Illinois Alumni Association. Blocker continues to show her
loyalty and support for UIS by her ongoing leadership for the Peoria Chapter
of the UIAA, and by promoting the Peoria Center and the MBA program in the work
place.

Bruce L. Bullard, MA ’92 CBM
For more than a decade, Bruce Bullard has championed the University of Illinois
at Springfield through his tireless involvement with two alumni advisory committees
and by providing his leadership and support for continuing professional education
programs. He helped the College of Business and Management establish and fund
the important Stanhope Scholarship Fund, ensuring the future of accounting students
for years to come.

Ronda Y. Guyton ’04 PAA
After the Peoria Chapter of the University of Illinois Alumni Association was
formed, Guyton took a co-leadership role for the Chapter. She has established
herself as an outstanding spokesperson for the University of Illinois at Springfield
and the Alumni Association. Her encouraging leadership has resulted in the long-term
viability of the Chapter.

Barbara A. Lestikow ’66 (UI), MA ’75 CEHS
Barbara
Lestikow continues her commitment to education by assisting the University of
Illinois at Springfield’s outreach efforts through her involvement with
the WUIS Campus and Community Council and the College of Education and Human
Services Alumni Council. Her dedication to the UIS Alumni SAGE Society and its
mission ensures the vitality and health of the Society as well as its participants.

Donovan W. Pepper ’94, MA ’96 PAA
As a result of the kind of leadership Donovan Pepper demonstrated as an undergraduate,
Student Life developed the Donovan Pepper Award to honor outstanding student
government leaders. As an alumnus, he has served on numerous committees, moving
forward the mission of the University. His dedication to building alumni relations
has led to new connections for both alumni and the University. Pepper actively
volunteers his expertise and time to lobby for the University to the state legislature,
and is a representative spokesperson for the College of Public Affairs and Administration
in the case statement for the Brilliant Futures Campaign.
