Author Rebecca Skloot to visit UIS
Best-selling author Rebecca Skloot will discuss her book, “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks,” Nov. 9 at Sangamon Auditorium. Skloot spent more than 10 years researching Henrietta Lacks, whose cells, harvested without her knowledge or consent, contributed to scientific advancements for vaccines, cancer treatment and viruses.
