Q. What does the UI Alumni Association do?
A. The mission of the Alumni Association is to maintain lifelong relationships between the University and its alumni. Our programs include the UI Alumni Network, Illinois Connection, Alumni Career Center, Explorers Travel Program and the Student Alumni Ambassadors.
Q. Why should I join the UI Alumni Association?
A. Membership in the Alumni Association is an affordable way to stay connected to the University of Illinois, while making a tremendous impact on both students and the alumni nation. As a thank you for your support, members receive exclusive access to university resources and our suite of benefits and services.
Q. What does my membership support?
A. In addition to the programs mentioned above, your membership also supports alumni communications, the online Alumni Directory, college/department alumni programs, student leadership opportunities and more!
Q. What are the levels of membership?
A. The Alumni Association offers two levels of membership:
Annual Member - a member who has made an annual gift of $50 or more.
Life Member - a member who has made $1,000 in cumulative gifts over a lifetime.
Q. Does it cost more for my spouse/life partner to become a member?
A. Joint memberships for spouses/ life partners are available upon request at no additional cost.
Q. Are memberships tax deductible?
A. Membership gifts to the Alumni Association are 100 percent tax-deductible. Please consult your tax advisor for further information.
