Alumnus head of state returns to UI campus

President of the Republic of Ecuador and University of Illinois graduate Rafael Correa, MS ’99 LAS, PHD ’01 LAS, recently visited the Urbana-Champaign campus as part of the annual Madhuri and Jagdish N. Sheth International Achievement Awards. Correa participated in an April 8 breakfast reception and lecture at the Alice Campbell Alumni Center, where he spoke to a capacity crowd of more than 400 students, alumni, faculty, staff and other guests and then answered questions from the audience.
