UIS named full-fledged NCAA Division II member Following three years of preparation, UIS is now a full-fledged member of NCAA Division II and the Great Lakes Valley Conference. In addition, UIS is now eligible for postseason competition. UIAA announces new credit card program
The UIAA has selected the University of Illinois Employees Credit Union to offer University of Illinois-branded Visa credit cards to its 625,000 alumni members. The endorsement replaces a 19-year relationship with MBNA and its successor, Bank of America. Sign up for your UIS-branded Visa card.

First Capital Scholars Reunion a success
The five-year reunion weekend for the first freshman class of Capital Scholars was a success! The event drew alumni from across the country and was organized by 2005 CAP Honors Scholar Dana Goodrum ’05 PAA, MPA ’08. View pictures from the event.

They enjoyed their time at the University and have been active in their community. "We have always been public-service oriented,” said Jim, “which has been a tradition for UIS students from early on. Students at UIS are not just training for a job. They are training to be a citizen."
