Who are Collegiate Members?
All UI seniors, graduate and professional students are automatically Collegiate Members in the University of Illinois Alumni Association (UIAA). Other interested students can become Collegiate Members for free upon request.

What is Collegiate Membership?
Collegiate Membership is a no-cost membership in the University of Illinois Alumni Association that introduces students to UIAA programs, benefits and services. In addition, members can participate in special programs and events designed to ease the transition into the "real world."

How do I know if I'm a Collegiate Member?
Initially, you will receive a welcome message from the UIAA. Each semester after that, every Collegiate Member receives an e-mail message from the UIAA confirming his or her membership status.

Where can I use my Collegiate Membership?
You can enjoy the benefits of membership on and off campus. Click on links to the right for information about members benefits and services, as well as coming programs and events.

How can I take advantage of my membership?
There are numerous benefits available to members. To log in and search the Online Directory, use your Personal Security Code that was included in your Collegiate Membership welcome message. For most other programs and services, see specific details on those pages (via links to the right). And, for events, all you need to do is register and/or attend.

How will I know about Collegiate Member programs and events?
Watch for your monthly e-newsletter from the UIAA, which highlights CM benefits, events and programs designed just for Collegiate Members.

When does my membership expire?
Three to six months after you graduate, your Collegiate Membership expires. Once you become a graduate of the University, you will be invited to become a regular (paid) member of the UIAA.

Why did the UIAA create this program?
The Alumni Association created the Collegiate Membership program to introduce students to the powerful worldwide Illinois alumni family. With more than 500,000 living alumni, the UIAA is one of the largest alumni networks in the world and part of what makes the University of Illinois experience unique and valuable. Membership in the UIAA is your gateway to building a professional and social network to suit your needs and interests.
