IC Flame Award for Teaching Excellence
Selection criteria | Nomination form | Recipients
The Flame Award for Teaching Excellence
is given to exceptional UIC educators
who have made a lasting impression
on their students’ lives and
inspired students by “lighting
the flame” of desire for intellectual
growth and lifelong learning. Since
nominations are submitted by alumni
and sponsored by the UIC Alumni
Advisory Board, this award is unique
among faculty awards at UIC. The
recipients receive an award and
a monetary stipend of $1,000.
Candidates may be current or retired
UIC faculty members teaching at
the graduate or undergraduate level
and must be nominated by University
of Illinois at Chicago alumni. Individuals
may be nominated multiple times
but can only receive the award once.
The deadline for the 2008 nominations for this
award has passed.
