IC Corporate Partner Award

The University of Illinois Alumni Association has established the UIC Corporate Partner Award in order to recognize corporations which have had, or continue to have, a significant impact on the campus and/or on the lives of alumni and students by assisting in the advancement, growth and/or development of UIC, especially as their involvement directly impacts students and alumni. The UIAA-UIC Corporate Partner Award encourages us to appreciate the diversity of our interactions with corporations in cities throughout the world.

Criteria for Nomination
Corporations that would be considered candidates for the UIAA-UIC Corporate Partner Award include those who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to UIC by developing and maintaining strong relationships with the campus that are exemplified by, but not limited to, the following:

• Providing full or partial funding of internships/part-time jobs for students
• Demonstrating a history of recruiting graduates for career opportunities
• Providing significant and/or continued funding of faculty research
• Providing support for annual activities such as the UIC Poetry Contest, UIC Engineering EXPO, Fun-Fest Welcome Back activities, UIC athletic programs, career services activities, college or campus alumni programs, etc.
• Sponsoring remodeling, upgrading or creation of new classroom/research facilities
• Arranging for major equipment or other in-kind donations
• Fostering mentoring programs between their employees and our students
• Developing long-term academic involvement programs, such as by providing residency-practicum opportunities
• Consistently funding scholarships or fellowships
