Virtual Career Center
Job Search Tools
Alumni who are active and
targeted in their job search or
career transition achieve success
in a job search or career transition
more quickly. Job targets are developed
and fine-tuned through self-assessment
and career exploration. Once you
have determined your targets, you
can actively pursue them by searching
for job postings, verifying salary
information and researching companies.
Take advantage of the large variety
of tools that are available to you
for identifying positions in the
open market. Look at traditional
sources like newspapers, recruiters
and job fairs, and spend time with
the newer Internet job boards and
company sites. For the best results,
manage your time and don't spend
too much time on any one tool.
