For Job Seekers and Career Changers

The Alumni Career Center administers a comprehensive program to University of Illinois graduates from the Chicago, Peoria, Rockford, Springfield and Urbana-Champaign campuses. Each year, the Alumni Career Center reaches more than 20,000 individuals, delivering resources, programs and services to alumni wherever they live. In addition, a career development article appears regularly in the three Alumni Association magazines.

The Alumni Career Center serves alumni throughout the career life cycle as they change jobs, consider new careers, or seek positions at higher levels in their current occupational fields. New graduates, along with alumni who have anywhere from a few years to many years of professional experience, attend workshops, complete career assessments and follow up with advising sessions to achieve successful career transitions.

The UIAA Alumni Career Center offers comprehensive packages of specialized services exclusively to Sustaining and Life members of the University of Illinois Alumni Association. These packages include self-directed and supportive, individualized assistance that adds to the resources accessible to all via the Internet and on a drop-in basis in the Lou Liay Career Library at the Alumni Career Center. A Career Interest Assessment and additional services such as Hire UI Alumni, an online recruiting service, complete the comprehensive programs designed to help University of Illinois graduates at all points along their career paths.
