The Illinois Black Alumni Reunion offers African-American alumni of the University of Illinois an opportunity to individually and collectively advance educational, professional and social issues by:
- Developing stronger fellowship among attendees
- Creating a culture of inclusion by engaging alumni
- Promoting an environment of excellence that enhances the values of a global, multicultural society
- Providing professional and cultural networking opportunities for alumni, faculty and students
- Offering a forum to discuss ways to improve the quality of campus life for students, faculty and staff
- Recognizing achievement and excellence of alumni, faculty and staff of color
- Encouraging alumni to give generously in support of the University of Illinois
