What You Can
Expect from Membership in the UIAA
The University of Illinois Alumni Association is an independent, not-for-profit,
membership-based organization. We connect alumni to the University of Illinois
and each other, mobilize alumni support for the University, and provide valuable
benefits, services and resources. Among the 550,000 alumni of the University,
UIAA members are a select group that cares most about the welfare and future of
the University of Illinois and its alumni community.
Use your official UIAA Membership Card for special services, benefits
and discounts available only to members. Your card includes your UIAA Personal
Security Code (PSC), which is used to access some of the Association's online
services. Membership dues include $12 per year for a subscription to the official
alumni magazine of your University of Illinois campus.
Annual membership dues are considered fully tax-deductible contributions. Life
membership dues are substantially tax-deductible. For details, please call the

you may join/renew online to gain immediate access to member benefits and services.

Traveling with fellow UI graduates is a special experience that provides memories
to cherish forever. The Alumni Association offers a wide variety of carefully
planned travel opportunities for members, ranging from alumni colleges to exotic

Online Directory
In addition to searching the directory's database of more than 500,000 Illinois
alumni and faculty and staff, members can connect with more than 40,000 alumni
willing to share information about their occupations, places of business and communities,
as well as their interest in serving as mentors or providing internship or externship
opportunities.

Library privileges
In partnership with the University of Illinois Libraries, UIAA members can now
access more than 4,000 magazines, newspapers, periodicals, scientific and professional
journals and trade publications. The database, ProQuest/ABI-INFORM Complete®,
includes current and archived issues in full text and/or abstract versions.
Members of the Alumni Association may borrow books and utilize the services
from University of Illinois libraries, including those facilities on the Urbana-Champaign,
Chicago and Springfield campuses, as well as the Health Science Libraries at Chicago,
Peoria, Rockford and Urbana. (Remote access to library databases is not necessarily
included; check with the staff of each library.)

Member Discounts
University of Illinois Global Campus
Contributing or life members of the UIAA who hold an undergraduate or graduate
degree from any UI campus receive a special tuition rate for Global
Campus programs. Regardless of where they live, UI degree holders who are
contributing or life members of the UIAA will pay 10 percent less than the tuition
for non-residents for all Global Campus courses.
Insurance
Established in 1973, the University of Illinois group insurance program is now
one of the largest alumni plans in the country and provides: group term life,
home/auto, long-term care, accident, senior life, catastrophic major medical and
short-term medical insurance.
Campus recreation
Keep working out on campus even after you graduate. Alumni Association members
may use campus recreation and fitness facilities for a nominal fee. Daily and
annual options are available.
